Position of Project Assistant (Organometallic Chemistry/Inorganic Chemistry)

 A “Project Assistant” position is available to work on a DST-SERB funded research project in the field of synthetic organometallic chemistry. The project will involve extensive synthetic chemistry, as well as photo physical studies. The candidate is thus expected to have a good background in experimental inorganic/organic chemistry. Requisite training will also be provided to handle advanced air-sensitive techniques, electrochemistry, and perform photo physical measurements. The position is immediately available and the initial contract will be for 12 months and can be extended for another 24 months. Candidate will be encouraged to pursue PhD program; however the registration into the doctoral course will follow the standard admission procedure of the MNIT Jaipur. In addition to the routine laboratory equipment, few state-of-the- art facilities like 400 MHz NMR, high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), SEM and HR-TEM will be accessed through our centralized facility at MNIT (Materials Research Center - MRC). A consolidated fellowship of 18,000/- INR per month will be paid to support the living expenses of the appointee. 

Qualification: First Class M.Sc., degree in Chemistry/Inorganic Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Physical Chemistry.
