Project Assistant under DST-SERB Sponsored Project

Applications are invited for the position of Project Staff/Assistant under the DST-SERB sponsored project titled ‘Semiconducting Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube-Based Field Effect Transistor Biosensor for Multianalyte Detection in Food Samples’. 

Eligibility: M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Chemistry/Material Science/Nanoscience and Technology Engineering/Electronics or equivalent with minimum of 60% marks. NET/GATE/CSIR-NT qualified candidate may be preferred. 

Fellowship: For postgraduate degree in basic sciences qualification or postgraduate degree in professional course: Rs 18,000 (consolidated). 

Desirable: Good knowledge and research experience in nanomaterial synthesis, carbon nanotubes, field effect transistor device fabrication and testing, biosensor fabrication, pesticide analysis and electroanalysis. 

Tenure of the fellowship: 3 years. Registration for Ph.D.: Selected candidates should register for full time Ph.D. programme at SRM University, Kattankulathur, Chennai.
