Ariviyal Solai Innovation Centre (AIC) is a non-profit STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) start-up, to promote STEM among school and college students in their mother language, especially in rural areas.
AIC nurture the students scientific temper and innovative
projects (in their mother language itself) with the support
of innovators/scientists and school/College/University
faculty.
The pursuit of knowledge and understanding through science will
arm the students to find the solutions to the increasingly acute economic,
social and environmental challenges facing humanity today.
Our efforts will create impacts in society by motivating
our students to pursue higher education in scientific research to address
exisiting problem for sustainable development.
It was
initiated by students from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore,
Uligal and others

Equip
1. The Ariviyal-Solai initiated in
government/govt aided schools and colleges especially in rural areas.
2. The motivational teachers
(Ariviyal-Solai Guru) are trained to organize science activities.
3. The potential students
(Ariviyal-Solai Diamond) are identified by their active participation
in Ariviyal-Solai programs.
Execute
1. The Ariviyal-Solai Guru will conduct
scientific activities to the students, monthly once, based on: a) Science from
textbook (b)
Science in day-to-day life (c)
Science for fun (d) Recent scientific inventions/innovations.
2. To motivate other students,
the Ariviyal-Solai Diamond will perform scientific activities i.e.
exhibition, model demonstration etc.
3. The Ariviyal-Solai will conduct
events/workshops for the Ariviyal-Solai Diamond with
innovators/inventors and researchers.
4. The Ariviyal-Solai Diamond will provide
opportunities to interact with eminent scientists either directly or through
skype.
Empower
1. The
activities of the Ariviyal-Solai Guru/Diamond will be recorded and
published in e-magazine, website, Facebook, and Youtube.
2. The Ariviyal-Solai Guru/Diamond
will be invited to give talk/demo in other Ariviyal-Solai Host
Institute.
3. The Ariviyal-Solai will
be a platform for Ariviyal-Solai Diamond to explore their ideas to
sort out the problems faced in day-to-day life in their mother language.
4. The Ariviyal-Solai will
provide technical (English communication) support to
the Ariviyal-Solai Diamond to participate in the National /
International Science projects, conferences.
